1. Heart shaped sausages

It's an adorable idea for a really cheap cold dinner aperitif between lovers. To start, you need small cocktail sausages. Cut each sausage diagonally. Assemble the two parts to make a heart. Hold them with a pretty toothpick also decorated with a little heart. You can now cook them in a pan. Another possibility is to cook them before cutting them. Finally, nothing prevents you from decorating them with ketchup. It's crunchy for an aperitif!

2. Bunch-shaped carrots

Offer flowers... of vegetables! For this, take a carrot and a cucumber. Peel the carrot and wash it. Cut it into slices. Carefully wash the cucumber with this trick and cut it into slices. Take a slice of carrot and cut out two small triangles. This way you get 3 teeth cut from the carrot.

Cut a cucumber slice in half. Remove the seeds and plant them on a toothpick, skin side down. Make the toothpick go far beyond the other side to be able to prick the carrot. The carrot's teeth are at the top. It makes a very pretty orange flower that looks like a tulip!

Repeat with the other cucumber and carrot slices to make a nice crunchy bouquet for your lover or sweetheart. You can then cook them or keep them raw to eat with homemade mayonnaise.

3. Fried eggs in the shape of a heart

Here's a little kitchen trick that's easy to do, fun and romantic! Take a sausage and split it lengthwise. Be careful not to separate the two halves completely. Bend each half over so the ends are touching. Prick a toothpick to hold them in place. They thus form a heart. Pour a little oil in a frying pan and put the sausages in it. Break an egg in the center of the sausage and let it cook. Serve it on a slice of bread. Super original as a fried egg, right? And really cheap! It saves you from buying a special mold for fried eggs.

4. Heart-shaped tangerines

Take a tangerine and peel it. Gently remove two quarters. Cut each quarter to 2/3 respecting a 45° angle. Take the larger parts and put them together to form a heart. Hold them with a nice toothpick. Repeat the operation several times and place them on a plate. You now have a romantic, light and quick dessert!

5. Heart-shaped toast

Here is a great idea to start the day under the sign of love. Take a slice of bread. With a round plastic bottle cut in half, cut a circle in the center of the slice. Remove the crust around to keep only the circle of crumb. With a heart-shaped cookie cutter, make a heart in the center of the circle. Remove the heart and keep the rest.

Cut another circle out of another slice. Spread it with jam (strawberries, raspberries, cherries...) and place the empty heart on top. Make several and put them on a plate.

Now take a heart made with the crumbs of bread and spread it with jam. Cover it with another heart of bread. These heart-shaped sandwiches are the best way to consume the day in love!

6. Candy apples

Take two apples, one red and one green. Wash them well with this trick. Take a small cookie cutter and cut a heart out of a green apple. Carefully remove the core to reveal the flesh of the apple. Cut a piece of the red apple. Lay it on a cutting board flesh side down.

With the cookie cutter, make a small heart the same size as the first one and remove it. Cut it so that it is less thick. Take your small red heart and insert it into the heart-shaped space carved into the green apple. You can do the same with a green apple and a little heart cut out of a red apple.

The result is simply brilliant and so romantic!
