Avocado at lunch

Avocado is delicious with chicken breast in a salad, on a cracker or on bread. It's not just a delicious combination, half an avocado with lunch makes you feel full and reduces your appetite for the next meal.

26 volunteers took part in a study in which they ate a different lunch three times:a lunch without avocado, a lunch in which avocado mixed with a different ingredient and a lunch with half an avocado added.

How much pull
After lunch, the subjects indicated how hungry they were at different times. The people who had added half the avocado to their lunch had 40 percent less appetite and a more satiated feeling.

Healthy fats There are 112 calories in half an avocado. This may contribute to the feeling of satiety, the researchers note. The avocado is a fairly fatty fruit, but mainly consists of healthy fats. In addition, you get a lot of fiber, vitamins and minerals. The avocado is therefore a tasty and healthy choice.
