We can certainly appreciate a good cup of tea. It is tasty, healthy and you can warm your hands on it. We have collected 5 facts about tea.

3. Drinking tea is healthy
A cup of tea is relaxing, slowing down and energizing. Dietitian Lenny Versteegden:'Tea contains no calories and appears to have a positive effect on the prevention of cardiovascular disease.'

4. Drinking tea is more of a woman's thing
Research by Pickwick shows that women drink green or fruit tea more often. Men prefer black tea. By the way, women drink more tea than men.

5. Many teas are best not brewed with boiling water
Never use boiling water with green, rooibos and herbal teas. Let the water cool to about 80 degrees, otherwise the herbs will burn and lose their active substances. It is better to make black tea with water at 100 degrees. Then the taste comes into its own.
