Your salary, the sun, your holiday, your clothes… The following applies to many things:the more, the better! But when it comes to snacks, that's not the case. A healthy snack of just 100 calories could keep your stomach sweet until the next meal. But not exceeding that calorie count is quite a challenge. Moreover, some snacks are also quite pricey.

Nevertheless, you would prefer to have something fresh or fruity within reach during the summer months. These are the 7 tastiest and healthy summer snacks:

1. Slices of tomato and cucumber with a little feta and olive oil
With this snack you will immediately find yourself in a Greek atmosphere. In an average Greek taverna, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, creamy slices of feta and liters of olive oil are indispensable in the kitchen. Moreover, these savory ingredients also make a delicious healthy snack.

2. Carrots with humus
This snack, of which one portion consists of approximately 150 grams of carrots and two tablespoons of humus, is tasty and fresh. The crunchy texture of the carrots will get you going, while the tangy humus will satisfy your comfort food cravings. Bet you can go back to it after this snack?

3. Half a Cantaloupe melon During the summer, this juicy piece of fruit should not be missing in your fridge:the melon. Like most fruits, melons contain a lot of water. Half a Cantaloupe melon is therefore a decent snack with a lot of beta-carotene (good for eyesight and for healthy bones and skin) and contains few calories. Two birds with one stone.

4. Strawberries (with coconut cream)
The summer favourite:strawberries. To make it a delicious and guilt-free dessert, take 150 grams of strawberries and three tablespoons of coconut cream. You can easily make coconut cream yourself:put a can of coconut milk in the fridge in the morning. Pour off the water and beat the remaining cream until fluffy. A snack that you can easily take to the office and prepare in the canteen.

5. Raspberries with yogurt and honey This sweet combination is guaranteed to keep your stomach tickled until it's time to head home for dinner. For this fresh snack, take 150 grams of raspberries, two tablespoons of yogurt and one tablespoon of honey. Simple, but oh so tasty.

6. Frozen yogurt
It is sweltering and sunny outside, but unfortunately you will be in the office until the end of the afternoon. Still in the mood for a cold snack, without falling into the sugary sweet trap of high-calorie ice cream? Frozen yogurt is the perfect fresh alternative for this. Treat yourself to a portion (about 75 grams) of 'fro-yo' to easily last those last hours at the office.

7. A handful of edamame
Eda-watte…? edamame! These little green soybeans from the East make a delicious and satisfying snack. A handful of edamame (about 75 grams) is a protein-rich snack that will satisfy your hunger in an instant. If you take them with you in the pod, you can enjoy this delicious snack even longer.
