Three homemade yogurt recipes to make without a yogurt maker

Yogurt without yogurt maker:the basic recipe

To start the homemade yogurt adventure, you must master the basics, namely natural yogurt. Heat 1 liter of whole milk to 45°C. If you don't have a thermometer, stick your finger in the pan:the milk should be barely hot. In a salad bowl, mix a whole natural yogurt from the store and 1 to 2 tablespoons of powdered milk. They will provide ferments, essential for making the yogurt. Then pour the hot milk into the bowl and mix. Distribute the preparation in glass or earthenware jars and close them with stretch film. To make them set, two options:place the jars in a bain-marie (water almost to the top of the jars) in the oven at 45°C (thermostat 1). Bake for 20 minutes then leave to stand for 6 hours in the turned off oven. Otherwise, pressure cooker option:heat 5 centimeters of water in a pressure cooker. When it reaches 45°C, remove from the heat, place the yoghurt pots in it and cover. Let stand overnight in a well-heated room or near a heater. Then store in the fridge or use in a smoothie or in your beauty recipes!

Homemade fruit yogurts

According to this plain yogurt recipe, you can imagine all kinds of creations. A raspberry yogurt for example. Then add 3 tablespoons of raspberry jam to the yoghurt-milk powder mixture, just before adding the hot milk. Then pour the preparation into the jars previously filled with 5 or 6 fresh raspberries. Take as before.

Naughty yogurts with Carambar

Allow yourself a gourmet fantasy and melt 5 or 6 Carambar in hot milk before mixing it with the rest of the ingredients. Continue the recipe as before, without changing anything. A regressive dessert to perfection!
