The iceroll, the new way to eat ice cream

Each year, ice cream parlors and pastry chefs compete in ingenuity to offer us new ice cream products to perpetuate our love for this summer dessert that needs no introduction. Scent, texture, color, everything is done so that we always eat more! This summer, the trend is for the iceroll, a new way to enjoy it that also offers the advantage of being super Instagrammable!

Made before our eyes

The iceroll comes in the form of rolls of two-tone ice cream in a pot decorated with chocolate, fresh fruit or caramel. Apart from the visual aspect, it is its manufacture that is surprising. On a plate refrigerated at -30°C, the ice cream maker pours a liquid preparation made up of milk, cream and sugar which, in contact with the cold, instantly turns into ice cream. Crushed then cut and rolled with a spatula, the rolls are then placed in a pot that costs 5 euros for the equivalent of 3 small classic balls. The real novelty is that the ice cream is made on demand, which is supposed to improve its taste and texture, unlike the ice cream already ready in tubs kept in the freezer. The flavors change every month, the Iceroll brand offers raspberry-pistachio, apricot-mint, strawberry-basil, lime-ginger and also tomato rolls, for the more daring. What to return several times to taste everything! We can even have a plate and an ice cream pro for a private event.
