Pearl of cider, a unique sensory experience!

No, cider is not only drunk on Candlemas or Epiphany and this is what the brand new range of top-of-the-range cider, Perle de Cidre de Val de Rance, intends to demonstrate. To succeed in this move upmarket, Val de Rance called on its cellar master, 17 times medalist at the General Agricultural Competition, Alain Lepage. His goal ? Make Perle de Cidre the guest of honor at festive meals. A successful bet if we are to believe the oenologists and master sommeliers who are full of praise for the newcomer! “What a beautiful deep gold dress! Delicacy of bubbles, persistence of the cord, just on the visual, we already put a very nice note. At the first sip, I go to the orchard, it's exceptional. Very pretty fruits, a frank attack, a beautiful harmony of mouth, a confirmation of the aromas in retro-olfaction, we are again on this marvelous fruitiness, the final note is refreshing, we are on a beautiful length of mouth favorable to perfect pairings from aperitif to dessert”, assures Annie-Françoise Crouzet, Master-Sommelier and 4th World Nose. As for the oenologist Guillaume Reynaud, he was seduced by both the container and the content:“It’s gold, a coppery tint, fine bubbles, it’s beautiful, precise. The nose, quite intense, provides a beautiful aromatic complexity. It is harmonious in the mouth, we find a joyful effervescence of the bubbles, which come to bring a touch of freshness, before fading gently. The bottle evokes something refined, full of symbols. »

Sustainable agriculture

In order to make these cuvées, Alain Lepage went to select the best cider apples from the confines of the Morbihan region. There is an ancient apple ideal for making exceptional ciders, the guillevic, also called the pearl of apples. He was able to rely on the know-how of more than 65 years of the Val de Rance house to choose the best orchards whose apples are grown according to a model of reasoned agriculture, concerned about people and the environment. . Perle de cidre offers two cuvées, a brut, rather recommended to accompany aperitifs and a more fruity, which agrees more readily with sweet notes. From aperitif to dessert, there are a thousand ways to enjoy Perle de cidre!
