Macaroni gratin from Cyril Lignac:a melting and delicious recipe just the way we like it!

To make our taste buds travel even more, the chef and pastry chef Cyril Lignac shared a few months ago, in his show "Tous en cuisine" on M6 , his recipe for crispy macaroni gratin . A gourmet and easy-to-make dish , inspired by an American specialty:mac and cheese .

Cyril Lignac's crispy macaroni gratin recipe

Preparation time:35 minutes.

To make Cyril Lignac's macaroni gratin , for 4 people, you will need:

  • 250g macaroni
  • 20g butter
  • 20g flour
  • ½ liter of whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 150 g of pancetta or bacon
  • 50 g of sliced ​​bread
  • 100g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 100g grated Emmental cheese

Preparation steps:

  1. In a saucepan, boil some water and cook the macaroni. Reserve.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, prepare the béchamel sauce. Melt the butter and add the flour. Stir vigorously, pour the milk little by little until the sauce is creamy. Drop
  3. Reduce the heat, cook for 4 minutes and add a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Remove from the heat, pour in the mustard and grated Emmental cheese. Mix.
  5. Add the pasta to the sauce, stir, then pour the mixture into an oven-safe gratin dish.
  6. Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium heat, brown the bacon bits. Then add the pieces of bread. Brown them in the fat of the meat, mix.
  7. Once the preparation is golden brown, pour it over the macaroni. Spread well so that it covers the gratin.
  8. Add parmesan on top.
  9. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes at 200°C.
