Ingredients for 8 croque-monsieur:

  • 16 slices of white bread
  • 200 g grated Emmental, Parmesan or Gruyère according to your taste
  • 100 g fresh cream
  • 1 egg
  • Nutmeg or cumin powder
  • 100g butter
  • 100g sliced ​​white ham or turkey
  • A bunch of chives
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation steps:

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the crème fraîche, grated cheese, egg and nutmeg.
  2. Melt the butter in the microwave for a few minutes. Book.
  3. Brush one of the two sides of the bread with the creamy preparation.
  4. On one slice, place a slice of ham and close the croque-monsieur.
  5. Use a brush to butter both sides of the croque-monsieur.
  6. In a frying pan, pour a drizzle of olive oil and place the croque-monsieur. Heat everything over low heat for a few minutes. Turn halfway through cooking so the cheese can melt.
