Each thermostat number corresponds to an additional 30°C temperature. No.1:30°C, No.2:60°C, No.3:90°C, etc. To convert the thermostat number to a degree, simply multiply it by 30 (for example, thermostat n°6 =6x30, i.e. 180°C).
Conversely, if a recipe tells you a temperature in degrees and you want to know which thermostat it corresponds to, you must divide this temperature by 30. For example, for a temperature of 120°C:120/30 =4 ( thermostat number).
